Decorating Den

When we redecorated the family/TV room, it looked kind of . . . low. The new couch and most everything else in the room is about the same height. There was no visual interest. Dick and I both thought a screen would solve the problem, with the added benefit of camouflaging part of my weaving area.

Dick found this screen at World Market.
It's wrought iron - so it's stable and heavy enough to stand on its own and to withstand accidental onslaughts by the cats - with cloth panels stretched tight from top to bottom. I like the look and it adds the interest we wanted. But the real reason we bought it? Hanging racks on the back. I can drape my weaving samples, future warps, or color ideas and study them while I weave. How clever is that!
